Anzac Day was celebrated with the traditional March from Memorial Hall to the Mudgeeraba Memorial at Elsie Laver Park, followed by a civic Sunset Ceremony.

The event was once again perfectly organised by the Returned Services League (RSL) Australia.

Organisations represented included: Mudgeeraba RSL, Hinterland Community Band, Surfers Paradise Brass Band, Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce, Mudgeeraba Rotary Club, and the Mudgeeraba Lions Club. Many local schools were represented too, with children from Sommerset College, Gilston State School and Mudgeeraba State School all proudly marching. It is heartening to see a new generation of Australians respecting and recognising the efforts and sacrifices of those who have gone before.
