Mudgeeraba Foundation Centre

An important asset of the Mudgeeraba Foundation is the Mudgeeraba Foundation Centre (MFC), located at 7 School Street in the heart of old Mudgeeraba. Opened in March 2004, it features a modern hall of ca. 190 m2 (incl. ca. 20 m2 storage rooms) and a foyer of ca. 90 m2 (incl. desk, cabinet, wall cupboard, kitchenette, female, male and disabled toilets). The hall is air-conditioned. The parquet floor was renovated at the end of 2009 after almost 6 years of intensive use. The audio-visual system was installed in Dec. 2010. The MFC also contains an undercover car park with spaces for 16 cars and includes a two bedroom apartment serving as a permanent residence for the Caretaker.

The Mudgeeraba Foundation Centre is used by schools and clubs devoted to education and recreation like yoga, ballet and bridge. Most Users are weekly (with or without holiday breaks). Some classes, workshops or seminars take place once a month, a quarter, a trimester or a half-year. Only once a year (in December) the hall is transformed for about 10 days into a gallery for "The d'Arcy Doyle Art Awards for Landscape". The Mudgeeraba Foundation is the main sponsor of this prestigious event. The MFC is also available for one off events at days and times not yet covered by the timetable for regular Users.
